Dear God:

I ask that you remove it all –
all of it that blocks me from you.
I ask this of you, God,
because only you know
what it all is.
I am truly clueless
when it comes to recognizing these things
that keep me from feeling
your love in my heart
and
your pull on my soul.
I am without awareness
in those moments when
I choose my knowledge
over your wisdom.
You see, God,
how much I need you
and
how much I know this,
so I am asking
for this day
to know you only
the way
you
already
know
me.
