Humbled am I
to read this prayer –
this prayer of a Saint –
yes, a Saint,
venerated
recognized
studied,
that said:

I have not yet done
that for which I was made.*

If he,
one of great Spirit,
venerated
recognized
studied,

spent time writing
his lack
     his unknowing
          his broken path,

how dare I think
I
     should
          have
               already 
                    arrived?
