ENORMOUS SUNFLOWERS
taller than I was at twelve
i can prove it.
there are pictures.
they were real.
i can see them
as they were back then.
when everything else was hidden
at least i could see those
ENORMOUS SUNFLOWERS.
and someone thought to take a picture
so that this day
when forty years have passed
i know for certain
i am telling the truth 
at least about those 
ENORMOUS SUNFLOWERS
