How difficult it is to dance with God –
as bombs fall from the sky
disseminating destruction
in faraway lands –
and as battle-ready men
push back tantrums
masked as social justice
in our streets
What will they think of me –
these innocent victims
and
instigators
and
hate-filled, power-hungry fools?
It matters not –
really!
It
matters
not!
My dance with God is ever-present
and
all-encompassing –
leading beyond war,
destruction,
tantrums,
politics –
even beyond the judgment of
battle-ready men,
innocent victims,
instigators,
and
hate-filled, power-hungry fools –
which, by the way, I am all of them,
except for when
my only motivation
is
dancing
with
God.
