All through life
we are challenged
strangers, family, friends 
what we say
what we do
what we know
how we live
challenged…

And the further along we go
the louder the challengers sound
now not even around 
yet still squatting, rent-free 
in our psyche…

Until the day 
we finally meet 
the only Voice that matters – 
He loves us all the same 
the challenged and the squatters.
