"Each moment in my day is an opportunity to give or receive love. How will I respect, accept, and appreciate myself and others today?" – Dewdrops, pg. 66
All the preparation –
the running from here to there
the gift wrapping
the tree trimming
positioning the lights of sparkle on the house –
attending gathering
upon gathering
upon gathering
filled with simple conversations
that don’t stand a chance
against the barrage
of sugary offerings
and spirited beverages –
so much to do
so many to see
this flurry of activity
and responsibility –
all of it
only
distracting
me
from the only need
the one task desired of me –
the opening up
and
the clearing out
of the stable of my heart.
