Pray Anyway

When you’re tired and restless,
pray anyway.
When answers to life’s questions are hidden,
pray anyway.
When confusion frustrates your soul,
pray anyway.
When hopelessness settles in like an old friend,
pray anyway.
When you feel like there’s nothing you can offer,
pray anyway.
When God seems absent, or at least, silent,
pray anyway.
For, it is true,
the trees whose roots grow deepest
are most likely to survive the storm.
