"Each moment in my day is an opportunity to give or receive love. How will I respect, accept, and appreciate myself and others today?" – Dewdrops, pg. 66
In the darkness of the early morning
when the whole world is still asleep,
I sit and pray
and read and write
and meditate.
This is the time I crave all the rest of the day,
for this is where Your presence is most known.
But today,
I cannot feel You in my prayers
or see You in the words I’m reading.
This horrid emptiness persists…
…until the coo of a dove
from beyond my window
breaks through
the deafening silence
and You remind me
I AM HERE.
