 Dear God:
 This morning, I come to You with a deep yearning for peace – 
 peace of mind, peace in my heart, peace that radiates from my soul.
 As the noise of this society and its voices have increased 
 with clanging and clamoring and blaring confusion, 
 this yearning becomes more intensely felt. 
 I tear my heart open before You!
 I pierce my mind sharply in Your sight!
 I lay my soul at Your feet willingly!
 Stomp out the toxins of this world.
 Pour into me Your grace and mercy.
 Quiet this yearning 
 with the simplicity of Your peaceful presence. 
 Amen.
