Pain.
I am not fond of it.
Yet it is, and always will be, a part of my human condition.
I must remember that it is not to be ignored or avoided, but respect and accepted, as part of the path; and more importantly, as a tool of God’s for using all things for the good of those who love Him.
I wonder often what is the point of the pain I suffer – and then hindsight sets in and reminds me, it is (more often than not) quite clear what God’s purpose is in using my pain – to help me grow, become aware of something I had been denying, learn respect for myself and for others, embrace the blessings in my life instead of focusing on the struggles…the list seems endless.
Because the Grace of God is endless…the list that holds the ways in which He is able to use my pain for good is also endless.
Respect it.
Accept it.
Embrace it.
Learn from it.
And still –
Pain.
I am not fond of it.
