It is a shock
the blast of awareness
that comes before healing –
it sucks out all breath
from deep within my lungs,
it stymies my brain
into a cold blank stare –
aware now
of the landing place
for my hatred
I sob,
and gasp
and howl in pain –
awakened –
I am ready
to let go.

Letting go of betrayal is far from easy. It’s a daily prayer of mine. Pain inside is unseen but plastic smiles are getting harder to produce. I am so fortunate, God is my friend. He helps me move forward, slowly, but I am moving forward to acceptance. Acceptance of betrayals , try it, my friends, it is not easy. God bless all who are reading this. Please pray for all victims.
