– Honoring the life and works of Martin Luther King, Jr., who gave his “I Have a Dream” speech 55 years ago today
I wonder,
do you still dream?
Do you still watch
from wherever you are?
If you do, does what you see
bring tears to your eyes?
Do you still breathe in love?
I wonder,
what would you say,
if you were here today?
As the mob leans toward
hostility, despair and hate,
would you still speak
of peace and non-violent ways?
I wonder,
what can we do
to bring back your heart,
to carry your message,
your words to impart?
How can we give that breath of love?
How can it ever be enough?
I wonder,
do you know,
know what you gave,
it lives in me today
it gives through me today
it forgives in me today
it loves in me today?
I dream that your dream
will find a way to be free,
one day that dream
will be reality.

Simply beautiful!
