THANK YOU, READERS!

It was one year ago that I started my blog, Dewdrops Plus. During the past year, I have posted 245 pieces of writing – and you have been there to read them. THANK YOU!

I don’t know about other writers, but for me, consistency in my writing happens when I know someone is out there waiting to read it. Yes, I do some writing for myself, which is very helpful with my personal spiritual growth; but I write more often when I know another person’s eyes are going to see the words I put on paper. That is exactly how I was able to begin and complete my only published work: Dewdrops: Morning Meditations to Cultivate Faith, Love & Service. I asked a trusted friend if I could send everything I wrote to him for review – not so much for editing, but just so I would know that someone was out there waiting to read it. And it worked! Because of that friend’s willingness to read what I wrote, God’s messages of faith, love and service that I had received through others throughout my journey, my determination to become a published author, and my friends at Aperture Press’s appreciation of my work, Dewdrops was released in October 2014. A lifelong dream was fulfilled because I knew I needed help to get there and I asked for it!

Today, my blog has 63 followers. There is a part of me that wishes it had more; that wishes it would have catapulted me to more success with a career in writing by now. And there is another part of me that knows, deep down inside, that this writing isn’t about that. This writing is about carrying God’s message, however He wants me to. For today, that’s for 63 people and whoever else happens to read it when I repost on Facebook and Twitter. And, for today, that’s more than good enough for me!

That’s not to say I won’t keep asking you to share my blog with your friends, family, co-workers, or anyone else you think it may help to walk through life in a more peaceful way. I would love to be able to reach more people; so if you have ideas that you think would help me to do that, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

In the meantime, I’ll keep on writing and I hope you’ll keep on reading. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your loyalty and support. I am most appreciative.
