I pray today for those who hunger
for food enough to sustain their bodies,
as well as those whose craving
is for power…

I pray today for those who thirst
for clean water to drink and wash and cool
as well as those whose only longing
is for more…

I pray today for those who need care
from the ones they love or the ones they don’t
as well as those whose caring
has diminished…

I pray today for those who dream
for a better day to come for all
as well as those who have
lost all hope…

I pray today we all will know
the beauty in the mess of this world
as well as the only Power
that can heal it all.
