Yup, I gave in. Yesterday at work, I started listening to my Instrumental Christmas Music station on Pandora. I know some of you out there think I’m nuts and way ahead of schedule with this, but I can’t help it. I love Christmas music. I love Christmas season. I love celebrating the joy in my heart that comes from the Incarnation of Christ.

Please understand, this does not mean that I don’t give Thanksgiving the respect it deserves. I love Thanksgiving, too. I do my best to live Thanksgiving throughout the year, sharing a gratitude list with a friend every day, and behaving gratefully as often as I can. Since I started this practice of living in gratitude, my spirituality has increased significantly – and for that, I am grateful.

But c’mon, Thanksgiving doesn’t have any music!

So, Pandora is fired up and ready to go with all my different Christmas Music stations. I will do my best to keep it to instrumental compilations until the end of Thanksgiving Day; but after that, all bets are off. Barry Manilow, Johnny Mathis, Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Christina Aguilera, Susan Boyle, Perry Como, Burl Ives and so many more – like a little kid on Christmas morning, I can’t wait!
