Autumn is my favorite season. The crisp coolness in the air after long, hot summer days is invigorating to me. It is my favorite time to walk outside, viewing the images of God’s stunning artwork – colors galore on fluttering leaves and brilliant sunsets that warm my heart with peace.
You might be wondering why I chose to open my blogging with that statement on this very cold and snowy Pennsylvania day on March 17, 2017…. Well, because this image of an autumn path that I have chosen to use throughout my site reminds me that no matter what season of the year I am experiencing, the beauty of God’s world (especially my most favorite moments like taking a walk in autumn) can be found in my own heart, in my own soul, by simply looking at a picture, reading words written by a favorite poet…or sharing a memory with a friend.
The beauty of God’s world is within me as much as it is within you. For today, that is what I need to remember most – that within each one of us, God’s love, beauty and peace lives.
Today, I ask God to give me the eyes to recognize His love, beauty and peace within myself and within you.
What will you do today to recognize your Higher Power’s love, beauty and peace within yourself? Within others?
