All my prayerful asking
was really ignorant begging –
thinking I knew myself
better than God
thinking happiness
contentment
and
fulfillment
came from this world
its people
and
its blasphemous reverence.
Thanks be to God
that the revelation of this
– this immature ignorance –
brings not shame
but instead
relief
once again
in the knowing
that I do not know –
and even better
that I do not have to know.
Because guess what
little one –
God knows!

I love this poem and SO true! The more I live, he more I realize I don’t know! But I know the One who DOES! Thank you Jessica 😘
