In the quiet, non-responsiveness
of the Lord
I rest.
There is nothing else to do
when I am there –
for I have exhausted
worry
begging and pleading
and tears of suffering
unending
and have found them
wanting
and only
robbing me
of the beauty
in the quiet, non-responsiveness
of my Lord –
that place where I find peace
simply
because
I trust
in the quiet, non-responsiveness
of my Lord.
