In this world
there are no kudos
for daily kindness,
no statues raised
for a calm demeanor – 
there is no award 
for holding your tongue
and no gold star
for giving unsung – 
and for constant faith
through good times and bad, 
no headlines published
no trophies had – 
and still,
we go on
following the Son,
knowing
and
knowing
and
knowing,  
His peace, our hearts have won!

More than that
is a gift we may never see – 
another notices His spark
(in us)
and starts to follow His lead.

Don’t miss this, dear friends,
this blessing to just be – 
as He was
and He is
and He always will be – 
the Light shining each day
