I wonder how much 
I have missed – 
head down
trudging begrudgingly
through the muck
of daily living. 

I wish to wonder about this 
not one moment longer!

For, my focus on the 
the ways of this world
has slammed my eyes shut
and
built walls of stone around my heart.

Wake me up, Lord!
Open my eyes, Lord! 

Give me courage 
to be aware 
of Your Presence.
