How like the horrors of 
     a generational dysfunctional family 
     is our nation?! 
The lies we tell 
to appear well,
to ease our hearts 
     while waging and engaging in war,
to fill our bellies full and overflowing 
     with legal potions that stave off disease 
     instead of cure? 
Oh, how long until this idolatrous empire falls, 
crumbling into dust 
over the lust in our flesh 
for more and more and more?
