Dear Jesus:
My plans 
– incessantly chattering away in my heart and mind – 
have kept me so deaf and so blind to 
Your purpose for me.
I am begging You now to please take them all from me! 
Please grace me with all I need to let them go!
Relieve me of all my selfish 
desires, 
greediness, 
and 
egotistic fantasies, 
so that 
I may no longer be blocked from 
Your purpose for me. 
I want only 
to follow You, 
to live like You, 
and 
to love like You.
I am certain 
– with every fiber of my being –  
that I cannot do that without You running the show! 
May Your will 
and 
Your purpose 
be done for me and through me.
