Did not God once tell me: 
“I will be with you as you go;
I will be with you wherever you go…”? 

So:
Why now the trepidation?
Why now the doubt?
Why now the confusion?

On earth, 
spiritual dementia sets in quickly
after birth,
and the brain spends its worldly life
gasping for 
the air of Truth
and
the bread of Clarity
in books
and 
nooks
and 
on hooks 
cast out by worldly ones.

Until the mind quiets
the voice of God 
will not be heard
again.
