Yesterday morning, 
the sun was brighter 
the air – clearer 
the sky more blue … 
On the other side 
of a challenging season, 
I finally felt my lungs 
expand completely 
and 
fully 
with the freshness 
and 
life 
of this new air 
shared only 
on the other side. 
Was this a taste of Heaven? 
A teeny, tiny, 
terrifically miniscule 
whiff of the Promised Land? 
Well then, 
I must thank You, dear God, 
for the preview!
