Dear God:
When I think of the willingness it took 
just to walk into that first meeting 
so many years ago, 
I am still amazed and baffled by Your Power. 
Knowing me and the bull-headedness 
that coursed through my veins 
as the lifeblood of survival, 
how can I ever be anything other than 
amazed and baffled? 
Your work in me and through me 
will always be amazing and baffling to me; 
and for that I am forever grateful.
