Dear God:
 I pray today that You will reveal to me my resistance to follow You.
 Once revealed, I ask that You fill my being with acceptance of my humanity, 
 rather than the shame-filled messages of the evil one. 
 Grant me willingness to trust that in letting go of my resistance, 
 I will be rewarded with the grace and understanding that only You can provide. 
 Shower upon me Your light and guide me on the path of righteousness in Your sight. 
 For I know that when I try to live my life alone, I am lost and stumbling and resisting. 
 But when I am with You, 
 I am a candle in the darkness, 
 a spark of hope in the night.
