There is no darkness
 in surrender
 only movement toward the light – 
 more luminescent
 with each moment of letting go
 more engulfing
 with each drop of egoic desire – 
 the darkness actually lives
 in the time before
 surrender,
 hoping beyond hope
 you’ll believe its lies.
