Dear God:
Please help me to think of others before myself – AND – to care for myself at the same time. I so want to be Your messenger, giving and loving as You have shown through the life of Jesus – AND – I fear my own diseased thinking that turns love into people-pleasing and giving into manipulation in order to get what I want.
Hold my heart in Your hands, God, and grant me the wisdom to give and love in Your light, instead of in my will.
