My heart leaps with joy
as I watch white tails of deer hop away in the meadow,
when I feel blanketed by
the warms rays of the morning sun,
as I breathe in the sweet aroma
of honeysuckle bushes along my path.
My soul holds the peace
when a child runs to another
with arms open wide,
as the tides come in and go out
expecting nothing back,
when I remember Your sacrifice
that saved my hopeless life.
My song of praise,
off-key, but for real
ceases not the day through
ever thankful for You.
