No one knows, really,
what’s going on.
Some speak as if they know,
others follow blindly in fear,
many more stand alone in their
uncertainty,
confusion,
and
frustration.
What are we to do now, God?
Where are we to go now, God?
Peter said it to you once,
when so many others drifted away
in their
uncertainty,
confusion,
and
frustration:
Lord, to whom shall we go?*
There is nowhere else.
There is no one else.
Those who say they know, very well may.
Those who follow in fear, may be safe.
Those who turn away in
uncertainty,
confusion,
and
frustration
may actually find a place of comfort.
But, I, my Lord,
will stay here with You;
for I have come to believe and to know
that You are the Holy One of God.*
I stake my life on it.
