This morning,
I looked out at the mistiness
and asked,
how much longer?
Just then the fog seeped in slowly and deeply,
blocking any answer that may have come.
So, later, when the sun showed up,
I asked again,
how much longer?
But again, clouds of darkness fell down into the earth
and kept the sun from answering.
Maybe this isn’t a time for answers.
Maybe this is a time for unknowing…
…unknowing everything we thought we knew.
