I pray today
to be healed of all the hurts
and traumas
not remembered;
those that still sit in the
shadowy basement
or attic
or guest room
of my heart;
those that release
bits of anger here
and
waves of sadness there;
those that
only You see,
those that
only You know.
Relieve me
of their hold today,
grant me reprieve
from all attachments
that serve only
to take me back
instead of forward.
I pray today,
Dear Lord,
for Your Grace
in my unknown.
