The seagull squawks
and I toss the bread.
The ocean roars
and I smile instead.
The sun peaks
and I squint my eyes.
Dolphins soar
and I have to cry.
God’s hand out
in the bird’s first call,
the sea’s waves,
as warmth covers all.
His truth seen
in the joyful leap,
smiles shared
and still I must weep.
