Colors my eyes can barely behold:
flowers of light
yellow, so bold and soft and bright
daffodils and forsythia
pink and purple and white
popping tulips and hyacinths
and
grass so green I can only imagine
a sea of emeralds glowing below…
Sounds of life bring joy to my heart:
the honk, honk, honking
of geese on return
with warmth and sunshine to share
the melodious coo of the mourning dove
calling his mate with care
and
the tweet, tweet, tweet
of hundreds of birds to spare…
Days grow longer
mornings wake sooner
evenings last forever…
…springtime blooms
as a breeze of lilac
washes over the dancing meadow of rebirth
resurrection
promise
hope…
