Looking to the day ahead,
I ask for intuitive thoughts,
courageous actions,
and compassionate reactions.
I hope and pray
to share all and more of the love
that You have always rained on me.
And when I fall short,
as You and I both know I will,
I ask for Your forgiveness,
and the forgiveness of my fellows.
For I am merely a human
be-ing as best as I can be
in each moment of time.
And, at the end of this day,
I ask to recognize Your graces,
those that were evident
or too small to be seen,
both carrying me throughout this day.
I ask all this because I know
without Your guidance
I will be lost and bewildered
in a world filled with me.
