What should I do, God, when I just don’t understand Your plan? This thing that is happening right now is baffling to me. My friend is a good person. My friend has served You for more years than I have been alive. My friend has helped so many of Your children to find their way back to You.

And yet, my friend is now suffering. Suffering at the hands of those who don’t serve You. Unfairly suffering. I don’t understand this, God! I need You to help me understand. I want to be able (and willing) to open my heart to all of Your children; but at times like these, I can’t see You in all of Your children. I search for You there because I know whenever I find You, I have peace. But, You are not in their eyes, and You are not in their lies.

Where are You right now, God?
