I pray today
for recognition of pain
for life in reality
for no need to refrain
from the truth
the hurt
the deep wounds that lie within…
I pray today
for acceptance of my need
for comfort
for validation
and for love
making me not weak
but only human…
I pray today
for gratitude for it all
bringing me over and through
and tumbling amidst the storms
carrying me to this day
to the center of my soul.
