Today I pray…
…to be granted a heart of acceptance for all who cross my path,
whether on roads, in offices, or on high-tech social networks…
…I pray You will give me all that I need
to see them, listen to them, understand them, and love them
with the tremendous grace that only You can provide.
You see, God,
on my own I struggle to tolerate,
I cannot see, or hear, or understand, or love,
but only struggle to tolerate.
I know it is only through You
that I can ever really move beyond
simply tolerating
in order to see, hear, understand, and love.
So, today, I pray to You, dear Lord,
to grant me all that You know I need.
For I am certain, God, so certain,
that I do not know what I need.
Amen.
