Today I pray…
…for the ability to hold back
from my knee-jerk reactions,
and my rushes to judgment,
so that I can
listen with loving attention
and accept the differences that
make up Your world.

Today I pray…
…for the willingness to stand up
when, and only when,
You have a need for me to do so.
May I speak Your message
and not my self-centered opinions.
May I live Your will
instead of my egocentric intentions.

Today I pray…
…for the grace to be
what You have created me to be…
…to carry the values
You have given me to carry…
…to give all the love
You have placed in my heart…
…for all You have given
I know,
will never depart.
