I pray today for the courage to say what needs to be said
especially when what needs to be said might not be popular.
And, I also pray for the ability to hold my tongue
especially when my ego is hurting.

I pray today for the faith to keep on keeping on
especially when the road ahead seems a bit foggy.
And, I also pray for the wisdom to pause
especially when I want to force an outcome.

I pray today for the willingness to give
especially when my wallet feels so empty.
And, I also pray for the humility to receive
especially when I feel unworthy.

And, Lord, most of all
I pray today for the strength to love
especially when the world seems so unlovable.
