I pray today…
…that this side will
turn,
maybe just an inch
and that side will
welcome
this side in.

I pray today…
…that all of them will
pause,
in thoughtful prayer
to contemplate
trusting
in our means.

I pray today…
…that the other will
look,
perhaps a glimpse
or half-lipped smile
freeing
the closed heart.

I pray today…
…to anoint my soul
and your soul too,
with the blood of the Cross
the only
balm that heals.

I pray today…
…to accept that Grace
and offer it gladly
so self will vanish
and
Love can reign.
