Today, I am grateful that the sun is shining brilliantly…
…and my eyes have the ability to see it
bouncing off the vibrant red roses and soft yellow daffodils;
…and my skin has the ability to absorb it
feeling its energy as it soaks in to my soul and warms my heart.

Today, I am grateful that the birds have awakened again…
…and my ears listen faithfully
as they sing their morning melodies;
…and the noise of my mind is quieted
by the soothing coo of the dove.

Today, I am grateful that my body ascends from rest…
…and my legs and arms move easily
as the refreshing shower of warmth cleanses slumber from my core;
…and my lungs breathe in and out
embracing the innocence of the morning.

Today, I am grateful for the recognition
of simplicity
of grace
and the mercy of my Great Creator.
Today, I am grateful to be able to appreciate
these blessings.
